Ellen Rankins is a Masters Student in the Department of Animal Sciences at the University of Florida. Her research area is equine training and temperament, specifically as it relates to horses in therapeutic riding, and she works under the direction of Dr. Carissa Wickens. Her interest in horse-human interactions began in her undergraduate studies and has been influenced by her experiences as a horse owner and work as a therapeutic riding instructor.
