Barbara Sherman is Clinical Professor of Veterinary Behavior at the College of Veterinary Medicine, North Carolina State University. She is board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and the American College of Animal Welfare. Horses have woven through her life, as pets, trail companions, and comrades in hunt seat, eventing, and dressage competition; as well as in equine veterinary practice in the clinic, hospital, competition venues, and racetracks. She lives in Southern Pines, NC, where, blissfully, thousands of acres of woodlands are dedicated to equestrian activities.
